Justin, I was waiting on the info for the pico slim amp.

I was considering the iBasso D10 but am leaning towards this one as the feedback on Head-Fi is so positive. Does anyone know how they compare? I'm wanting to drive some HD 650s, I presume this would be up for the job? |

Since the HD600/800 is 300-600 ohms at various frequencies it needs the voltage swing to get adequate power, so the Pico will have more of that. The D10 is best with 120 ohm and less headphones. The D10 improves with better opamps as far as sonic synergy, but it will not drive the HD600 quite as well if you like powerful sound. The Pico and 3MOVE have that power, and somehow the Vivid V1 does too, but I think they use a voltage multiplier inside the V1 amp. Even the 5v P-51 is slightly more powerful with the HD600/800 than the D10. |
