I actually don't have a final price yet, either pre-order or final pricing. The cost to build is still TBD.

What we have now is still a prototype but the price will be understood when you lift it out of the crate.
I am getting too old for this amp. My poor back may not be able to lift this out of the crate. I had my practice twenty years ago playing with my Behemoth Sony SCD-1 and Sony STR-DA9000ES.

I'm sure you will find stronger young head-fiers that happily lift this out of the crate for you in exchange for an audition of this amp

Ha. Thank your back you don't have to deal with monoblock ordeals.

"the price will be understood when you lift it out of the crate" Do you mean it's very heavy? Case made of iridium? Let's be serious: I know that precisly-made cases are very expansive, but the Grand Cayman, as shown on pictures, has only one case, whereas the BHSE had two. Important questions: 1. Is it still an OTL? 2. Will it be fitted with top-notch WE300B? There is a huge gap in sound quality between common Chinese or Russian 300Bs and, say, original WE tubes from the thirties --$20,000 for a pair at TubeDepot!

I would expect this as standard.

Something that I'm interested in since this amp can also use 6.3V tubes is:

1. Is there enough space to fit some new production 6SN6/6SL7 from Linali? They are considerably larger than typical and its hard to judge from pictures but it looks rough

2. Since 6N6P can be used in place of ECC99 would 6N30P-DR also work?

I had the pleasure to listen to the GC with the X9000 at Axpona.

Wow! It was a much better sound than what I was expecting. I was able to compare side by side the BHSE and the GC with the same X9000, source and material. While the X9000 sounded really good out of the BHSE, out of the GC are a totally different level. More detailed but more smooth at the same time and the bass wow what a bass. For a Stax headphone it was impressive.

Great job Justin!!! :clap::clap::clap::clap:
