I'm just getting into E-stats for the first time.
Do we have a price on this yet? Roughly......?

It’s been in development for 7 years, no clear understanding of when it will be released. All we know is the ballpark is 5 figures and seems to be above $20,000. Prototype impressions seem to indicate it’s at least on par with a T2 or megatron xl, but that’s itI'm just getting into E-stats for the first time.

I've heard it twice and although I thought it was very good and indeed on par with the level of the T2, I think anywhere near $20k is a tough sell. I prefer the T2 slightly because of its improved bass, but otherwise they were somewhat similar in just how stellar they are in every category. If it takes a bit longer to make it more affordable, I would totally think that's worth it. (not assuming the case, saying it would be a worthy tradeoff if it ended up being true).

Couple considerations :
1) T2 has become a 12+ wait time
2) your T2 didn’t have issues but several owners have noise floor problems that are very difficult to resolve due to the design of the t2
3) price of the t2 is closer to 15k now I believe so this is still within range
Couple other considerations:
1) megatron XL has been successfully built by Soren and other builders are working on them - price is below the t2
2) stock megatron, while not DHT, is still a likely a competitor for a all-tube design at a 1/3 price tag
I think if headamp can price it between $15,000-$20,000 a few of them would sell and make sense for he90, omega, x9k, or SGL Sr owners who have already put in serious investment to their system.

Some valid points for sure. I think wait time becomes a wash as it's a pretty big lead time up to the Cayman being available, but definitely aligned on point #2 and #3 in the first section. $15k is about the ceiling I think these amps should be (I understand pricing isn't this simple and about what you "think" they should be at). I think it's tough if you get pretty close to $20k.
All of that said, I do want to be very clear. The Grand Cayman sounded exceptional. Immediately I could tell it was an upgrade to the BHSE and in the same tier of the T2. I enjoyed it immensely and could easily live with it long term. I just hope the final product can come out a bit lower than the price speculated. Also, the Megatron is something I'm really interested in hearing, but I know it's going to be tough getting the chance to.
