Is your crystal ball clear enough to show when shipping will commence?
That doesn't look final. Looks like a mock-up to see if everything fits together as intended.

All the machining has been done, this was checking out a piece from the production lot.

Two days ago we received the HP Protection PCBs for the CFA3, just one more piece we were waiting for. It's a miniaturized version of Kevin Gilmore's 'Balanced Headphone Protector' PCB with a few tweaks.

The purpose of the Protection PCB is to disconnect the headphones from the amp if there is too much DC voltage on the output. This can happen if something were to fail inside the amp, or you've connected a faulty source that is outputting DC. In testing the Protection PCB, I actually found a source that was probably damaged that was doing this. The board has a trim pot on it that would allow the range of acceptable DC voltage to be adjusted. The protection is also engaged when the amp is turned on or off, avoiding any pops in the headphones. This is indicated through an orange LED on the front panel, which is soft white when everything is OK.

Looks beautiful Justin. I love how you were able to get it all into such a compact enclosure yet still keep it so neat. Can't wait to see what's next.
