my BHSE Is waiting for me at CanJam  :grinning:
Tomorow I bring It back to his new home :grimacing:

I heard your BHSE at CanJam London bmichels.    It was great and addictive and the best sound by far I heard in the Show with the 009's and the Ayre DAC.   I think Peter got fed up wiht me as I went back four times to keep hearing it :)

Yes it was the stock tubes. I plan to enjoy them first and later to start some tube rolling research if needed.

I don't get fed up with anyone who's excited to listen to our gear. We are always glad to have people there to appreciate it.  Thanks for the great comments, cheers!

During CanJam Lonson last WK I spoke with Peter James from HeadAmp about It and he strongly believes that this Is pure bullsh__. :)

Had he actually tried it ???

No, I have not tried any aftermarket power umbilical cables for our amps. If someone believes that such an item makes a difference to the sound, they are welcome to that opinion, however, nothing we can objectively evaluate would argue in favor of such a change.

Thanks Peter, I presume from your reply that you didn't therefore refer to it as "pure bull****"

In fact, I have tried a Stefan AudioArt Umbilical built to order for my Woo WES with positive effects, so I will be interested to see whether these can be replicated on the BHSE.

Your most welcome Peter.    Thank you so much for being at CanJam, London with some amazing equipment knowing how difficult the logistics can be with bringing over such equipment from USA to England and then having to find the venue in such a large and busy city as London.

2 Input fuses at 2A slow blow
2 output fuses 0.2A fast blow

All are the small size (5x20mm from memory). This is for a UK 230v BHSE. I don't know if the input fuses will be different for other voltages.
I was very pleased with the SR Reds. I haven't tried the beeswax ones - too pricey for me.

Hello attorney and everybody else. The theory says that voltage x amperage must be constant (and at least equal to the max dissipated power of the device). Therefore, 2A/230V corresponds to 4A/115V (for instance).

My 115V version has a LF.T 2.5A L250VP fuse on the input.

I'll pull the other one tonight to see what it is for sure, but I believe it is the 0.2A fuse mentioned above.
yep, they are 200mA (or 0.2A) 5x20mm

Just out of interest, although the 2 x 0.2A output fuses can be accessed quite easily at the rear of the PSU, how are the 2 x 2A input fuses accessed - presumably the BHSE needs to be opened up ?

Nope, they are accessed through the power cord plug-in. There is an access plate.

Here are some pictures:

Hi bearFNF

Perfect - thanks for your help.

Obvious - if you know how !!

Hadn't realised all the fuses were located at the rear of the PSU.

BHSE, even with stock tubes + SR007 (both purchased from Justin) continues to be sublime, detailed, and complete in frequency range. Simply the best.

Thank again for your work Justin.
