I'm strangely motivated to put my next cable on the back burner and make this instead.

What colors would you suggest?

No shame in that at all. I'll bet there are more people in the world who can crochet than there are headphone enthusiasts.
 
I'm a hat guy myself (I've got a couple of fedoras I wear everywhere), but I think it'd be cool to switch it up and try a beanie. Maybe with a little buttoned pouch to put a pair of IEMs or KSC75s in for storage.

Hows about a location-based app that prompts the user when he/she is within a few feet (configurable) of another head-fier?  Activation of app is optional/configurable.
