Once in a while I remember something that we've discussed here that we've collectively said "oh well, that's a mystery" and given up on. Might be nice to post them up. And no, not the "What happened to Scrypt/Jagwire/Patrick" or "Where is Merton lurking now" type of posts, please!

I'm thinking along the lines of "what happened to these?"

And I'm referring to their headphones, not their careers.

Oh, that's Josie and the *****cats. Someone in Hollywood has a few HP1000s in a trailer somewhere...

Here's another. Apparently a demo of these Grado Freesystems was actually made and shipped and displayed at a store in Ohio, never to be seen again. What store? Who bought it? Did they go in a Sherriff's sale to someone? Argh!

Wow.. I saw that movie when it was in theaters. That was around the time when I would try on my dad's SR225 and think "these are so uncomfortable and old/crappy looking, and how am I even supposed to plug this into my discman?!"

edit: sorry, that wasn't really on topic. I'll stop.

Isn't that a press shot from the "Josie and the *****cats" movie?

What I want to know:

1. Where is Jagwire?
2. Who was it who took that photo of Nikongod?
3. Why do people continue to eat pretzels when it has been proven that they cause tinnitus?

Finally, the last of my trifecta - Grado Lab Speakers. Too lazy to get pics, but the three we know currently exist and have seen pics of are:

1) John Grado's twin towers of RS-1 speakers, one-off just for him

2) John Grado's temporary liaison to make some generic looking black monitors, someone on head-fi has a pair. The prototype pic is below:

3) Joe Grado's "Grado Lab Standard" ones (Currently owned by Headphile).

Years:1964-69
Price New:300/Pair

And Larryminator has a pair too:

The big question is - what happened to these below? Anyone ever see a pair?

Grado Mini Lab
Years:1964-69
Price New:100/Pair

Larryminator owns a pair of those, I'm not sure if it's the Mini Lab or the Lab Standard...

1. Taking sick photos of Nikongod
2. Jagwire, and possibly Merton
3. Don't be hatin'

Thanks for the link to Larryminator's speakers! they look just like Headphile's eBay "standard" grab, so the tiny ones are still MIA.
