We have had meets in Houston, just not in the last couple of years.

The only one I've been to in Houston was 3-4 years ago at Sweet Spot Audio and More.  It was pretty small.  I think there was one 'stat there, maybe a 4070.

Actually, we had two in Sugarland,  but it was 4-5 years ago... gosh how time flies...

There was an Austin meet?

Darn, I really should pay more attention to what's happening on here. I blame my lack of budget, and by extension lack of experience, and once more, by extension, lack of any meaningful input (the budget thing also restricts my need for research).

It would have been really neat to demo some of these more hi/summit-fi cans. Thus far I've only got to listen to a few mid-fi setups and ONE hi-fi setup (that being my dad's vandeersteens).

But I digress, I'd love to attend another Austin meet next year. In the mean time this Dallas meet sounds awesome, alas it's like a 3 hour drive.

I pass Sweet Spot Audio on my commute and I noticed it was closed a few months back.  I think that's the only hifi shop in town that carried any selection of mid and hifi headphones, but I think they were primarily Grado.

I would also attend a Houston meet, and even better a Sugar Land meet.

They moved.  http://www.sweetspotaudioandmore.com/

AFAIK, they only have Grados up to the 325i but have a lot of other neat stuff including vinyl.

Hey, Chris:

How 'bout organizing a Houston meet?  It's "only" another 200 miles.

Hi, pabbi1

I do also onw the LL. In fact I own the #001. It's an excellent amp for the 009. What kind of sonic differences would you say to set them apart?

Regards,
Erico

BIAS Alert warning.

I own a Liquid Lightning. In my opinion, with my source (or the PWD) with my phones, he-60 (or the SR-009), the Liquid Lightning 2 is the best electrostatic amp I have ever heard.

That is all I can remember.

Hmm.  Google says only 60 more miles to Houston than to Austin.
