HDD based DAP Recommendation

currently looking for a replacement for my iPod Classic 80GB. HDD died. need replacement the soonest. preferrably with the same capacity but I want to try other brands. thanks.

I think you'll struggle to find a large capacity DAP with a HDD. I certainly did anyhow.
From my knowledge you are probably best replacing the HDD... you could even get yourself a 240gb HDD that is now available for the iPod video 5.5g 80gb versions.
