I am thinking about doing the hd650 + the compass dac/amp. How do you guys think this will work out?

Will i get the full potential out of these phones or what?

And no, I wouldn't go for a Compass. I'd get a used tube DAC (LD MKIII is about $150 used) and then a nice DAC.
