I think you right the HD-700 is coming. They can't keep selling the 650 almost everyone has them. Its that time the other company's' are doing it.

Here's what i did. I bought it using Buy-it-now. Then i sent him an email confirming the price. I told him i will only pay after he confirms the price. If it's a mistake, then, no sweat. I think it's not fair to take advantage of a small business. They aren't the real b*stards. Companies like Sony and Microsoft are.

So, we'll see, if he says yes, then i'm lucky. If he says no, then i never part with my money and hopefully i'll get a positive feedback. I don't understand why someone would attack another person because of a lousy $100.

Btw, about two years ago, Buy.com had brand new HD600's listed on their site for $180. They honored that price for the first group of takers (me included).

But that's "Buy.com". I don't expect a small eBay retailer to do the same.

I agree. Ebay even gives you the chance to revise your Item's description a second time after you've entered all the details. And I can see that he did put some effort into the text at least. He also isn't one of those Ebay Powersellers with thousands of feedbacks, why not overlook it properly before submitting something important like that?

Sure, everyone makes mistakes once in a while, but this was very much avoidable. He'll also lose some money because of the eBay fees.

In the absence of a self-contradictory listing like this one, how would one know whether it was a mistake in valuation or a deliberate decision by the seller? Perhaps the seller is looking to liquidate inventory quickly. I would have no hesitation in using Buy It Now in that circumstance, though I would be reasonable after the fact if the seller came back to me and indicated that it was in fact a mistake.

Legally, you have no way to enforce the $185 price (even if you wanted to). A price advertised to the public is not considered an offer, just an invitation for offers. When you hit buy it now, that constitutes the offer. He still has to accept it for it to become a binding contract. If he doesn't want to do it, he can just reject your offer.
