yep, im rejoining the crew by this weekend, got a sweet deal on some used hd600s.

I went 600s->650s->650s>(2 pairs! haha)->600s.

After i got my hp1000s, i just missed the sound, and they are such a sweet deal nowadays. I know 650s is a whole 'nother level, but to me the HD series headphones are real comfortable, light on the head, and just un parraleled bass and non fatiguing sound.

Only issue is the stock cable sucks, but to go spend another 100+ on another silver dragon or whatever defeated my whole purpose of having them on the cheap!


Anyways, hd600s rock!

Yep. We, at team HD580 have laughed at you guys for years for buying 580's in a nicer box and paying a premium for it. Alas, there were debates about how the 600s sound different, about how they were so much better, blah, blah, blah. In any even, the 580s and 600s are great cans. They are fantastic for the money and whereas the 650s are better, they're not THAT much better. Let us wait until the 700s come out, which will use the same drivers as the 650's, but will be shipped in a nicer box. That will push the 650's out of favor, which will cause prices to drop drastically. We will then swoop in and snatch the 650's from all those who paid a premium for them. Then, we will all laugh at them, the same way the Team 580 laughs at the Team 600 now.

PS. Don't despair though. At least you have good taste in cans. You didn't go out and get yourselves Grados or Audio Technicas. That counts for a LOT.
