Forgot to update my post. I picked up a pair of open box HD800s with full 30 day return if I did not like them. After just a few days I knew they would not be going back. In a way they are funny, you don't always appreciate what they do after a short listening session. However, going back to my HD580s really shows how much space and detail the HD800s have. I primarily listen to well recorded Classical CDs and these are a near perfect match.
