Why the V300 are your personal preference?

Anyway, i think HD457 is a better headphone. I have MDR-V300 and I think they sound bad, also for a cheap headphone. For example, chepare Senns PX100 sound way better.

I live in canada and i saw the mrd-v300 for about 65$cad plus taxes and everything come to about 76-80 dollars..but is this a better buy if i bought the senns hdr457 for 80 flat?...or are the sony's better..because i want bass and exceptional sound quality...any suggestions for 80 or under canadian dollars..i have the hd437 at the moment

FORGOT TO ADD IN the hd437 have really good bass...but not the highs i want...or lows...i think the sony has better highs and lows...any take on that?

The Sony MDR-V300 are one of the worst headphone I've ever had. Dont' buy them.

Instead, you can also try a Sennheiser PX100, very good bass and overall quality. Take a look also at the Koss PortaPro.

The PX-100 in Canada are horribly overpriced and good Koss headphones are pretty hard to find up here.

$80 for the HD457 is asking way too much. You can get em for roughly $50 right here and the afore mentioned place also sells the mighty K81DJ, which pretty much smashes the HD437 and MDR-V300 into tidbits.

If clip-ons don't bug you, Koss KSC75s are a bargain, especially compared to stuff we can get locally up here. The U of T - St. George campus store has them, as well as SDC.ca, which is located up in Markham. I got mine at SDC, for $25 picked up.

Why bother buying at a retail place? Stick to online when buying Sennheiser cans. Around here, the 477's are $99.99CDN but online, they're like $25.

Screw Futureshop. Go visit Tom Lee and pick up a pair of K81DJ's.

Let me tell you this, Taaha, but neither of the two headphones that you're considering are worth anywhere near their high asking prices. In fact, neither is worth even half of those prices. As such, I wouldn't pay more than about $30CAD for either 'phone.

The above is based on my brief experience with the HD457 and my brief ownership of the MDR-V300: Both headphones sound grainy and muddy both at the same time, and they're both fairly uncomfortable to wear for even a few minutes. And the MDR-V300 is astonishingly flimsy in its build quality.

Neither.

Get these: http://www.tomleemusic.ca/main/produ...=111990&id=154

AKG K81DJ. Totally KILLS anything under $150 you can buy locally.

Taaha, buy them online. On Ebay, HD477s are $40 shipped, the K81DJs are around $90 shipped and will sound much much better. Forget the Sony's. I had those 3 years ago, returned right away. They sound truly horrendous, bloated midbass and extremely rolled off highs.

$80?! OWNAGE. OWNAGE. OWNAGE.

There you go. $80 was your asking price, now you have it.
No more recommendations in the $80 range.

I would recommend the HP460's but I know they're not available in Canada.
