Just got a pair of HD 25-1-II and while I love the sound, the clamp is killing my ears. After 5 minutes I keep having to readjust it... and after 10-15 minutes i have to take them off because my ears are beginning to hurt.

I tried changing to velour pads, but this has had little effect.

I'm concerned that I may not be wearing these phones correctly, with the split headband and all.

Any tips on how to improve the comfort? Could my ears just be too small/big?

When I had a pair of these I felt the same way. I stretched the headband back and forth and wrapped them over the back of a thick chair when I wasn't using them. The clamp eventually became tolerable. Please note that overzealous stretching can break your headphones, and you do so at your own risk ::insert Tyll Hulk Smash pic::
