hd25-1 drive by ipod nano

Is it suffecient to drive my hd25-1 by an ipod nano (the newest version, the small square one)?
 
i want to buy a hd-25 for portable use mainly, and i wonder if my ipod will drive them good.
 
if not what is needed to drive these? don't want amp btw.

Yep- that's exactly my set-up for listening in my studio...sometimes run thru a Go-Vibe lil' amp, but the 25's sound really good unamped from the Nano.  The cool thing is, they sound just Awesome run thru my big Woo amp too.  A great pair of cans.

and how about the source, does it matter much?
 
in my ipod it is mainly mp3, no wav.
 
and some are 256 mp3.
 
will the quality be real bad?
