Right, well, I believe the limitations on resolution are the same, and you can still do the automatic transcode just the same. Unless you mean you don't listen from your computer at all, in which case... no need to investigate high res music at this point in time.

I listen to the real wav file using Foobar. I really hate itunes, but like the 160 Gb ipod to use on the go, mainly my motorcycle.
