HD 650 color gradation variations ?

Likely the difference is due to photographic manipulation. The "curves" tool in Photoshop can work wonders for bringing out details in dark objects.

Let alone post-production (e.g. photoshop curves), that photo could have been taken in a white soft box, which would be pretty standard for product photography. Mix in the headache-inducing lack of consistency from camera to screen to color profile to browser etc. etc. etc., and you've got all sorts of online variation in color.

There's one *actual* color for the Senn HD650: dark grey with tiny light specks.

The headband of 650 on there looks really light-grey. My 650's looks much darker. Dark-grey. So, are there different variations or what?

The light grey ones sound the best
