Are those still the top un-amped headphones in their price range?
Haven't visited in a few months... Rp-21 and D1000 were big. Whats new now?

you mean exclusively closed? They're still strong contenders along with ES7, though Skylab has wielded his power to put the HD25-1 back on the throne over all three. (though I guess he wouldn't be caught dead unamped!)

I have the es7's... The Rp-21's are far more neutral/accurate. They will be used for cross checking mixes for music production. Anyway.. Okay, I guess that answers my question.. no new contenders really since that skylab review.

I think the 21's are fine and the ProLine 750's a little better but I haven't seen anything new. Equation stated they were looking into an upgraded cord with less memory but nothing has been reported though I sure would like one that is more user friendly and maybe even higher quality.
