Has anyone gone back to their CRT monitor after using a LCD for a long time?

I usually switch back to my CRT for gaming every now and then. I'm consistently impressed every time I go back to my CRT, and it's only a 17" eMachines (coming from a 20.1" Widescreen Viewsonic LCD).

The colors are accurate, the contrast is deep, the black levels are amazing, 100hz is INCREDIBLE for gaming, and the uniformity is unmatched compared to any LCD.

I'll go back to my 20.1" Widescreen in a few weeks just so I can get that initial LCD awe all over again. Still, does anyone simply love CRT's still?

I dual screen with my thinkpad t61 notebook and my 17" dell CRT

The t61 screen looks slightly desaturated in comparison with the CRT. The notebook has a little too much contrast but it's an easy fix (still have to collaborate it).

But hands down, my notebook screen wins in the detail department. !5.4" 1680X1050 resolution looks amazing on it. Super crisp images.

I find it harder now to read text on the CRT because I am used to the super crisp text on my notebook.

I have went back to my NEC 19" CRT (well not anymore now it sits around with no use), Was suprised with how good the colors were but nah too much strain on my eyes staring at it for a long time.
BTW I would go CRT but those beast take up so much space.

No. LCDs have no refresh and also have an advantage for photo editing: each pixel on the screen corresponds exactly to a single pixel in the image. (When operating at the LCD's native resolution.)

Plus, a good LCD is so much sharper.

I used to use a CRT monitor just like most people and I loved it especially for DVD viewing. Later I got rid of it and got a LCD 17 inch which is bigger.

For DVD watching, it is not very good. Despite the smaller size, the CRT was great. Maybe I should get a bigger CRT. But my room is kinda small and I love the extra space allowed by the newer LCD.

If i had more space, I would go old school with a big CRT.

Since I don't own any crts, and they all belong to my customers, I think I'll leave them alone.
