HAS ANYONE COMPARED VINTAGE AKG K340, BEYER DT 990, SENNHEISER HD 540II/HD 560 II?

Tried my vintage Beyerdynamic DT 990 with new 990 VB pads.
Sounded ok, but bass was slightly boomy, and mids sort of recessed. Highs were ok, but somewhat bright.
I then took the old flat original cloth ear pads, cut them open, and installed new foam out of a pair of Sennheiser HD 430 earpads, and sewed the old pads back up.
They sound really good with this combination!
Good bass, mids, very detailed top end, and clear vocals.
So far between vintage AKG K340, vintage Beyerdynamic DT 990,  Sennheiser HD 540 Reference I, Sennheiser HD 540 Reference II, Sennheiser HD 560 Ovation II, and Sennheiser HD 600, I like the Beyerdynamic DT 990 and Sennheiser HD 540 Reference II best of all.

For the photos of the old DT 990.

I have only a Stereoplay from December 1989 with the Professional Version of DT 770 und DT 990.
In these cases the foam discs are fully covering the systems.

For the "normal" DT 990. I have seen DT 990 on Ebay where the systems covered not fully, but often the photos are to bad to see some clearly.

Otherwise I have sound comparison between the old DT 990 und the old DT 990 Pro(fessional) in the same paper.

In shorter description.

The Pro-Version plays more impuslive and airier, a little bit in advance in bass precision and fine details.
The non-Pro wins in Voices and acoustical instruments with mehr warmth and volume.
And in this point perhaps more pleasant than the analyticaler Pro(fessional).

So the author of the Stereoplay. In real I know only my Pro and had the opportunity to compare with T 90 and T 70 and with my own other headphones.
