Has anyone achieved their end-game setup ?

This is a great question, I feel like people have a connotation with end game = more expensive “better” gear which is valid to some extent. For me, I feel comfortable that I’m in the end game territory for my tastes and budget, and things are now looking towards different flavors of that same kind of end game. For example, DS vs R2R and planar vs dynamics. That being said, I’ve had a chance to check out and audition quite a few things and I’m very happy with Meze & Chord products for my use cases.

Endgame doesn’t exist. I believe in gear that I’m happy with to a point that I have several pieces that I’ll never sell. I’m currently at a point that I’m very content. But I‘ll always be on the hunt for exciting additions.

I see this as two things - music enjoyment endgame and gear endgame. For the first one I was already enjoying musing with a ~800$ gear (dac/amp with 1990pro). After that it was only burning money for more details and tweaking of frequency response. Gear endgame is "oh I got another 5ms piano note decay longer for paying 5k more, now my music is much more realistic".
