has anybody tried batteries whith the x-cans v2?

have you? - If so, what are your experiences?

To the best of my knowledge with this having an AC power supply input, the batteries supplying DC voltage would not allow it to work?

But... if you have... please share the secret with us

Tube amps require high voltages to operate properly. Therefore, they are NOT suitable for battery operation.

Recently, Peter Millett introduced a very low voltage, hybrid tube headphone amp. So can it use batteries? No! Mr Millett's tube amp is not meant to be operated with batteries.

You're not mistaken. But it takes a 12v battery with some pretty hefty charge specs. And run time isn't great. I'm going to make a battery pack for it one of these days. The hard part to find is the appropriate travel bag...
