obviously i have to chose one from them , and here is the question ... which one would be best sounding. I know that is porably more to do with personal preferances but if anyone had to deal with them above I would appreciate any help or/and any suggestions

Those ATH-8's, the box that you see there is only an adapter box that you have to still hook up to the speaker terminals on an amp of your choice. It's basically a step-up transformer box for your speaker terminals on whatever amp you hook them up to.

These look like the frequency extends low and if my older AT-705 pair are anything to go by it's a no-brainer ( yep same specs as mine except the 8's go higher ) . A planar type of bass but no shortage on mine at all. Nice even frequency response as well. Not heard the Jecklins personally but I don't know if they could match the overall clarity and speed of the electrets. ( without a bunch of mods if even possible , I believe both Jecklins are dynamic type drivers.) I think even one of those might have a dual driver in each ear, not sure.

I'd go for the ATH-8's myself. Just my 2 cents.

BUT:
- You can't use the ATH-8's portable ( Would you use the Jecklins portable? )
-  make sure the seller says there is NO channel imbalance on either side ( different volume levels of output per side ) and that they aren't really faint sounding in general. There's no fixing either of that unless you replace the drivers.
--  AND you will need to hook them up to an amplifier/receiver that has speaker terminals. Good thing about that is you can run the speakers  also with the flip of a switch ( if you have speakers at all they hook up to the rear of the adapter box and you select to either power the speakers or the headphones from that box. Be sure to lower the volume before you do) Pretty sure this adapter also has the speaker outs like all the others. Yep sure does.

Hopefully the pads are in decent shape, but they may be easier to replace than the foam jecklins (?) maybe.

If you didn't like any of them after you would probably have no troubles selling any of them in the forums here after, assuming they are in reasonable shape.

Thanks for all your replies ! much appritiated :)

Well... in the best condition all over are the Ergo 2 , almost mint. No need to refoam or so

Yes about audio-technika ive heard some good things about them , true they need to be  conected to theire own box than to amp so not a protable at all , however none of the above really are. Cant imagine walking out in jeckilin's, looking like VADER!

Unforunately the ATH-8's need some TLC , probably pads to be changed and there is that outer lining missing on one side , however i was assured by seller there is no imbalance and they sound "oh so f.....g good" but are just in poor condition tough . Hes just selling them as getting scruffy and not used due to upgrade long time ago

And btw not really lisning to bass heavy music

Mainly
Andreas Vollenweider
Hans Theessink
Keiko Matsui etc etc

Looking forward to your impressions !

I am getting some Shure 550 pads in the next few days for a fellow head-fier who can't find them overseas, so when I do I can post some pictures ( with a ruler beside them ) They may be an option for replacement pads for you. Cheap enough. It will be important to try to keep the center pad opening the same as stock, and also the height of them too. That's only if you want to stick to stock sound.

Here's a link to them anyhow for a picture of what they look like
