Although there are many many traditional celtic tunes that are quite joyous, one of the happiest tunes I've ever heard is the version of Si Beag, Si Mor performed by Deiseal on the CD "The Long, Long Note." For those unaware of the tune and the band, "Si Beag, Si Mor is said to the be the first composition of the legendary blind Irish harper, Turlough O'carolan. It's been covered by countless bands over the years and I've heard dozens of versions of it. But thanks to the excellent low flute playing of Deiseal's Cormac Breatnach on the CD mentioned above, I have never heard a happier, more energetic version of this tune.

The Long Long Note may be difficult to find these days, but as it turns out, Deiseal licensed the tune to Narada and it is included on the more widely available CD Celtic Legacy.

You can see a version of this tune being played by Cormac at this url, but the version on the CD is played with much more energy, and with different accompaniment:

Was going to say the same thing, yeah it's happy alright, sometimes too happy almost, almost gay happy. but anyways it's feel good music and it's great.
