You set the X22 vol to 100%. using the X22 as a preamp and going to a preamp, I liked the SQ better going to my preamp and setting the volume of the dac to 100%.

Hi Zonka, Likewise i also agree with Peteg re 100% and going into my Preamp, I am so happy everyday with my decision to buy this Dac, all from great info from this site :O)

"So many" may be a stretch but I've seen discussions about this on this site, computer audiophile, reviews on Amazon, and a few on the Steve Hoffman site. I don't believe I've seen a negative review.
