Same why computer m/b manufacturers continue to publish different BIOS versions.
- If you're not happy on one you could change to another.
- If you have problems flashing, you could revert to the previous.

Every FW (like PC BIOS) has a changelog. You can read them and decide.

See page 1 for a start.

When a version with DSD on UPnP will be available?
Thanks

IDK they need to change their media encoder. Try asking Gustard Support for first hand info. Its just an email away.

Anyone using afterdark clock with R26?

What are the clocks you would advise ?
The Leo Bodnar GPS clock is very popular on this thread, is very effective & inexpensive

Question for R26 users: I just purchased an amp that is RCA inputs only. Has anyone had success with an adapter that converts XLR balanced outputs from the R26 to single-ended RCA outputs? Thanks, in advance. As a relative newbie, I worry I may commit some electronics error without checking first.

Hello,
um 2 things, if you use XLR on the Gustard you have to invert the phase depending on where you live.
It depends on whether you are using a US or European XLR cable.
For European cables you have to invert the phase in the Gustard's settings, not for US cables.

The second thing now depends on what your amplifier can handle when you go in from XLR to RCA, regardless of whether you use a cable or adapter.
As a rule and according to the standard, RCA input to amplifier is 2 to 2.5 V. Anything above this can lead to clipping.
It is actually better to go in via RCA instead of XLR if the amplifier only has one input where RCA input is standard.
If the amplifier also had XLR this would not be a problem, except that you would have to invert the phase on the Gustard if it is connected completely via XLR.

Just get ordinary RCA interconnects and use the single ended outputs on the R26. No need to make life more complicated.
