Finisar seems to be a US only brand but I think I managed to find the right cable on a german site.

As for the FMCs which of these babies go with it? There are a few different ones and I know squat about fiber.

Correct cable and go with the 2x pack for the FMC. You don't need a SFP module(s) if you are using the AOC cable. "open SFP slot."

Everything is cheaper in the US.
You don't pay 20% VAT on your cables, and gear.
US too have state Sales Tax but not 20% but like 9-10% which gets added during checkout .
Every country has some tax or other.

Works out at 80 bucks for me with delivery and import duties.
Also check mouser they have free shipment (from US) to Europe and I ordered 10m of Finisar AOC which will be delivered early next week and is cheaper than shop.fiber24.net
(p.s. I don't think they have the 2 m in stock)

Choose the MMF 550m that @duffer5 also bought.that should also be enough in the household, lol.
I followed Duffer's recommendations.

I also found this page, it is more expensive in Europe than the cable from Ebay linked by @duffer5, and you can also get it delivered directly to the house via Ebay.
Shipping costs plus additional customs clearance is handled directly on Ebay.
But I'm also not sure if it's really the right cable on Fiber24.

As a cable to the boxes to test until the Finisar arrives, I took this one:

Hi, does replacing the original fuse with the Gustard HiFi fuse improve the sound? Have any of you tried the replacement? On the Shenzhenaudio website, the 3.15A model is recommended for R26, is this good for 220V?
I have SR red. Great.

With comp audio, you also need to pay attention to every little thing. Perhaps even more so than with analogy.
An ordinary switch can greatly deprive us. Although it only forwards packets. Even mine had LPS, which was better.
But now with the HiFi switch LHY, I can hear how much the ordinary one has ripped me off.

Hello,
I also saw that the 2.5 A/T is not available from Gustard.
Apparently only the ones you mentioned and lower.

For this reason, I personally dropped the Gustard and opted for another one.
They came today and I used them 2 hours ago.

First impression is that it does exactly what I've been missing since I got the R26 last week, and seems to be better with the fuse.
(But this could still be due to the lack of burn in on the R26).

They also have the 2.5 A/T provided for the R26.

But it's also a matter of personal taste and the thing is kept rather subtle and not a giant step. So don't expect any giant leaps.
Not even with a 200$/€ fuse.
Rather invest in cables if you haven't done anything there yet and only then in the fuse.

Are you saying that the right one for 220V is 2A and not 3.15A? However, I will never spend $200 for the SR Purple fuse...

Just make sure that you plug it in good surge protector if you have got fuse with higher A rating. However all these audio devices use Slow blow fuses so don't worry a lot about it.
