I just joined this great forum and greetings to you all!

Could anyone give me some suggestions to choose between GS2000e and HD800S? I listen to Jazz and Classical much, using Pathos Aurium and 2Qute as Amp and dac.

Have not heard the GS 2000e's so can't say for sure. I really loved the GS 1000's though and would pick them over the 800s's myself but that is just me. The 800S's are great headphones don't get me wrong I would just prefer the 1000's over them. I would be giving up soundstage and detail retrieval but the airiness of the Grados was so sweet. I have to stop talking about them now or I will get myself in trouble .

For me, it's a no brainer...the HD800S is the better headphone with better soundstaging, transparency, and clarity. I happen to own the PS1000e (and have listened to the GS2000e a few times...but prefer their flagship). I'd take the HD800S over the PS1000e too.

Just my 2 cents...

If you love stringed instruments, the GS2000e would be better than the HD800S.

If you are looking for an all-rounder, the HD800S would be better than the GS2000e.

For my comparisons on the two, see here in the first post of this page:

in terms of presentation After hearing both sets I bought the gs2ke. the hd800s creates a bubble soundstage inside the cups of the phones that makes it difficult to hear the " you are truely there" experience. All I heard was the sound bubble. Other than that they both sounded fast and transparent. Imaging are top notch on both. Gs2ke all the way. all senn headphones sound like headphones. grados sound like audio experiences.
