Is it an easy pair of cans to drive? I have some on the way, and it may be my last saving grace towards completely dismissing dynamic headphones.

When I say easy, I mean something like a PPAv2, or RA1. Or possibly even a portable amp, even worse yet, and iPod heaphone jack.

Yes, the RA-1 does well with them. Ipod...not so bad. You want the best? you have to go large and tubed, but the RA-1 will do well enough.

My buddy from Canada just flew in with them during his vacation to NYC, and I've listened thru the new hybrid SS/tube Head-Direct EF1 with a nice RCA clear top sidegetter 12AU7 and the sound is fantastic (listening to classical).

I will test with my iQube and Predator, and report back. Never thought to do that.
