GS Audio SE12
I'd be happy to announce that I was actually the very first order of the SE12, which I've kept in secret until I had a really good understanding of this iem. Have about a week of usage.
I'll be writing a full review eventually when I have the time (I've been quite busy moving into a new apartment), but I'll give a general overview for now.
- V-shaped signature (not my ideal tuning)
- Extremely good bass. This is by far the most technically capable bass that I've heard in an iem, with a very full and audible subbass that reaches down to the lowest lows. I'm very confident it's bass can compete with the thousand dollar bracket.
- Snappy and fast transient attack.
- Soundstage plays with the z-axis, but generally an in-your-head experience.
- Shallower midrange (as expected of V-shaped signature)
- It's not as bright and treble intensive as the graph would indicate, which had me worried in the beginning
- Would like more treble extension
For those of you who are interested, I'm currently selling the SE12 as I am not a huge fan of the tuning. It's on classified forum for the curious minded (type "GS Audio SE12" )
