I think Lou Reed has a great voice for rock. Another favorite is Mark Knophler.

Ever notice how a musicians voice is completely different when they're speaking versus when they are singing? For example a lot of singers sing as if they had no accent, but have a pretty heavy one speaking. Kinda neat to hear them talking on live albums.
