Yes. Completely different music by a band at the top of its game from the beginning.

Rage Against the Machine, Led Zep I and Black Sabbath are all tied for me.

4. Patti Smith - Horses
5. Jeff Buckley - Grace
6. Television - Marquee Moon
7. The Doors - The Doors
8. The Band - Music From Big Pink

17. Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures
18. Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
19. Frank Zappa - Freak Out
20. Pink Floyd - Piper At The Gates Of Dawn
from my perspective.......it's a tossup between.....

The VU & Nico / Are You Experienced / The Doors.........and I'd probably say The VU & Nico is the most important of the 3. All 3 are from 1967 coincidentally.

A great list! Out of these I would say My Aim Is True, The Clash, The Band and Marquee Moon are the strongest. I'll have a look at my collection when I come home to see if anything is missing on this list.....

I could not agree more! Entroducing is probably the best debut cd ever made, followed by Exile in Guyville, Suede by Suede, Maxinquaye by Tricky, and Psychocandy by the Jesus and Mary Chain.

Excellent album!
