Reading this "Over Priced Tube" thread depressed me, so let's list some tubes that perform great for the money, especially compared to the "over priced" ones.

I have/had expensive 300B tubes, including Takatsuki and AVVT, and Genalex Gold Lion holds its own at a Fraction of their price.

For 12AX7, ECC83 type, there really is no need to spend tons of money.

Sylvania 12AX7A/7025 can be had for $30-40 off the Bay easily and is a superb sounding tube, easily my choice over the likes of Gold Lion 12AX7, Full Music 12AX7, and even much more expensive NOS types.
