Let's see if there is any interest for a meet in Grand Rapids MI on February 20, 2010? This happens to fall on my birthday.

Location would be at my office in Grandville, MI which has easy access from the major highways. Plenty of restaurants & etc. Rivertown Crossings Mall 1/2 mile from the office (drop your spouse/signifigant other off to shop and come to the meet).

Easy drive from Lansing, Muskegon, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids Metro area and Big Rapids. Great way to beat the winter doldrums and have a good time. If you're in Michigan you already know what winter roads are like ... generally good to great unless a storm rolls in.

If the weather is good, I may make it up there. Potential gear would be Acer Netbook > NuForce uDAC > HifiMan EF5 > HifiMan HE-5 and Resolution Audio Opus 21 CDP > Eddie Current Zana Deux. Depends how much will fit in a Miata.

2 1/2 hours via I96, 3 hours via I94. I had a day trip to Canton on Saturday. If you decide to make a day trip out of if, we will probably meet from 12 - 5. You can take your time getting here as well as returning. Time flies if you can share the ride.

Also ONLY 2 hours from South Bend.

Last year the weather was awful and the roads were not fun ... but
Absorbine_Sr made it up from Indiana and BillinKansas made it from, well, Kansas. 1st meet was last year. New friends, good times and what was the other thing...oh yeah...gear to listen to! Y'all come!

So would you say it's probably shorter to Grandville than to Chicago from South Bend?

I'll keep checking in as the date closes in, I'd really love to go.

mapquest shows South Bend is about 1:45 from both. Kind of funny cuz depending on where you're going in Chicago it could easily take much longer. Certainly don't have that kind of traffic here.
