My current system comprises of a Squeezebox Duet > Dacmagic > Project Head-Box II > Grado S325i.

I would like to replace the Project Head-Box II with a valve amplifier and I am considering the following two items:

Millett MiniMax (kit) and the Little Dot I+

Can anyone give me advice on what would be the best match for the Grado's and my setup.

I can't comment on either with Grados, but I have a lot of experience with both(6 months with ld 1+, 2 months listening to my DIY minimax).
I would say it boils down to how much do you want to spend. LD 1+ go for around 100 shipped, maybe another 30-40 bucks for tubes/ op amps, while a kit alone for the minimax is 220 bucks + shipping.

I can say for sure the minimax is a without a doubt a better amp, but you get what you pay for.

I've never heard Grados with Little Dot amps.

My Grados sing beautifully with both my Millett hybrids ("Starving Student" and MiniMAX). The MiniMAX gives me the impression of tighter control and focus; while the "Starving Student" is less refined, more like a raw power animal (150 mA class A output stage!!)
