My headphones just broke! the part that broke/just detached itself is the metal rod that connects the headphone to the actually headphone band. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if anyone knows how its connected so I can fix it.

It looks like the metal rod has some threading, but it doesn't hold the phone onto it. Any suggestions?
 
I don't think they are under warranty. I bought them a little over a year ago.

send an email to Grado Labs detailing the problem.
 
IME, their customer service is very responsive and helpful
(as is often the case with family owned companies).

I'm not sure that any serious business would fully "replace"
an out-of-warranty item at absolutely no charge,
 
but IME Grado is very reasonable about repairs.

Wishful thinking I guess. They got back to me and are sending a me a replacement gimbal.
Very good customer service.
