Okay...I just love the sound of my Grado 325is.....Love them to death....but

Can anybody point me to a way to lengthem my cord..by like a foot...without losing sound quality and without branking the bank.

It would be much appreciated.

I know on nothing that short--there probably is not much of a market fo such a thing.

You can get the Mogami Gold EXT 10 Headphone Extension Cable 10 feet or Grado Extension Cable 4.57m (15 ft) Headphone Extension Cable for under $40.

Check amazon.  I could find nothing shorter than six feet for an extension cable.

Hahaha. Something 1ft in length is hard to come by since people don't really consider that an extension. You could pick up a grado adapter cable (I believe the 325is is terminated in a 1/4") and then run another 1/8 to 1/4 adapter to your stereo.

Only other thing is a custom cable, which could break your bank.

Thanks for the replies guys....guess I will just have to go for the Grado extension cable then.

Looks like $40 is as cheap as it gets.

I was short a few inches so that's exactly what i used to lenghten the cable of my PS-1000,and i didn't notice any sound degradation.

Or you can build your own extension cable.  Get about 6 feet of cables from ebay (here) for a 6 strand cable, more if you want more strands ($11.90)

Get one female and one male 1/4 plug (depending on quality, this could run a couple of bucks to $50 for name brands like Oyaide or ViaBlue), then solder and braid away.

You can also add some cable shield to finish off the professional look.

You can get this done yourself (providing you already have the tools) for as cheap as $20, or get someone to do it for you for whatever price.

No idea if this thread is still going, but Hosa makes an extension cable that's shielded and ~10ft in length that works very well - here:
http://www.amazon.com/Hosa-HPE310-TRS-Headphone-Cable/dp/B0010CTUW6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1342068400&sr=8-2&keywords=hosa+headphone+extension+cable

Cheaper than the Grado extension. And less bulky (remember that the Grado extension is the same 8-conductor wire and at 15ft it's kind of a large affair).
