I had a small "fire" and the cable jacket got damaged on my precious SR-200's. They still work, but this has given me a reason to get them recabled, ultimately I'd like to get them recabled with Joe Grado Signature cable ala HP1K, but I dont see that happening. I'm looking for suggestions. I like copper.

Just be sure that you send them to someone competent in recabling!
The Grado driver are fragile and so easy to fry.
You don't want to break this little jewel don't you

It all depends on what you are trying to do. If originality is important contact Grado for a price quote. Good luck.

i think this is good advice.

I was trying to also make the op aware that more people will be willing to purchase an stock vintage can than one which has been modded. I mean that in the overall sense, not just from fellow head-fiers.

It's like cars. It is easier to sell an stock 1965 Mustang than one that has had mods. Plus you usually get more money for the stock unit.

We'll I'm definitely not interested in getting rid of them anytime soon, I've had em since '02 and i still love em. Apuresound and Audiolineout look good. Anyone got other suggestions.
