Grado "RS-1"RS-2"MS-Pro"

Sorry for my another thread about Grado

I decide between them and I can't make final decision. I'm interested who prefer more RS-1, RS-2 and Alessandro MS-Pro. I know this is all subjective and everyone has different setup etc. and the most important is listening by myself but I don't have a chance try them unfortunately.

My opinions shortly:

RS-2: More bass slam than RS-1, slightly narrower soundstage, slightly warmer sound signature, very good for rock/metal

RS-1: Wider soundstage than RS-2, more neutral sound signature than RS-2 (IMO), less bass slam (but it's deep, don't worry), better "resolution" than RS-2 (RS-2 might sound mushy or muffled in comparison), works pretty good for many kinds of music but works best for rock/metal like RS-2 also

MS-Pro: More analytical sound than both of the Grados have. Slightly brighter than RS-1. Otherwise pretty similar than RS-1.

I gave my vote for RS-1.

I've owned all three pairs....and the clear winner became RS-1 with flats.

In the end I decided for MS-Pro... I don't know why

becose I dont heard Alessandro but (I hope) they will have all the nice qualities in Grado with better soundstage.

They are quite neutral, with not extended/picky top end, no matter what, at least I didn't experienced such thing. They sound pretty good, but you have to love their sound after all. On the other hand if we compare MS PRO and HP1000, MS PRO are coloured, but with great balance over there. Plus the monster bass/mids of HP1000 are way dominant, while the rest is slightly shadowed.
All this from my memory, cos never compare two together.

Don't worry they are very good headphones that can be used with different kind of music, but than again, you have to love their sound sig to keep them, imo.

One man's "sterile" is the other man's "more neutral".
I do own RS-1s and MS-Pros, and I certainly do like the Alessandros better.

I can hear more details from music with MS-Pro's. RS-1 sounds a bit fuzzy sometimes. Also the bass might be a bit tighter in MS-Pro's.

Just getting used to the MS-Ultimate mod...

I have not heard MS Pro's, but I prefer RS-2 to RS-1. If I want a more balanced presentation, I would rather stick with an HD580/600.

I have both and I'd say the same about them, so don't worry

And I love the sound of my MS-Pros.
