Hi everyone. I recently bought myself a pair of used RS-1 and currently running them with my stereo amp CA Azur 740A. The specs that I have found are the following:
It is a high output op amp circuit which is Class AB
Frequency Response (-0.05dB): 10Hz to 30kHz
THD 1kHz (80kHz BW): 0.0009%
SNR (20Hz-22kHz): -108dBV
Crosstalk (20Hz-22kHz): -70dBr (1V
Allows for the connection of stereo headphones with a 1⁄4" Jack plug. Headphones with an impedance of between 32 and 600 ohms are recommended. When the headphones are connected, the loudspeaker relays are released switching off the output to the loudspeakers (speakers A and B).
Im wondering if these specs are OK in the world of headphone amps with the RS1s or if I would see a serious improvement with a separate amp. I also have the Arcam rDAC. I dont want to spend too much money either, have been looking at Lehmanns Rhinelander, Graham Slees Novo, Rega Ear and Creek OBH-11 among others.
Thanks in advance!
