I have a pair of Grados coming in but the badges were removed by the seller a while ago. Is there any way to discern which model these headphones are now that the badges have been removed? I won't be paying until they arrive so I'm not worried, but I just want to make sure

Thanks!

There should be a label on the pizza box.

Another indication are pads and the mini jack (I think it's just on the SR60). I think there's no other way to recognize a SR60->SR225 model.

i the sr225 have different grills
they're the metal mesh instead of the metal plate with holes
...i'm terrible with words

i could probably describe it better with an interpretive dance

the sr80 also has a mini plug (according to the grado website)

They are the SR225's and I'm pretty positive they are real.

Also, the SR225 should have black paint on the back of the transducers (drivers). The SR60 (not sure of the 80 and 125) has silver non-painted tranducer backs. Here is a pic of the inside of my SR225. Only pay attention to the transducer on the left.

If I get the nerve to open them up, I'll check it out.

You actually don't have to open them up to see the transducers. Just look through the grills under some light.
