Hi all I have the opertunity to get some hp1000 (with polarity switches) in great condition for $1000
I have no idea what they are worth. Searching turned up some on eBay for $2500
Anyone out there able to give me an idea what they "normally" sell for
Cheers

If you don't mind spending a few extra bucks, a glance at the Audiogon Blue Book may help you with that.

Grab them now before they are gone- they are the more desirable HP-1.
If you're not interested, hook me up with the seller!

$1,500+ seems to be the going price as long as it has the ultra bandwidth cable. So, assuming it has that cable and is by someone trustworthy, jump on it.

I had bought mine, with the lab standard cable, and most lettering gone, for around 1800 USD including shipping.

And I was able to sell it for pretty much the exact same amount.

I don't know how much the cable will affect price.

The cable did affect the price on HP1000 in the past.
It is harder to tell these days since the prices have gone up overall. HP1 usually goes for more and HP3 even more, although they really don't have any sonic advantage over HP2 ( not to my ears at least).
