Here is my list for the best, starting out with the Holy Trinity.

HP-2 The Father
RS-1 The Son
PS-1 The Holy Bass
followed by....
HF-1 w/headphile recable and woody
HF-1
225
80
60

hf-1 + woodies , how they improved from stock ?
price ?

and .. do they approach rs-2 ( ms-pro ) or what ?

An all Alessandro experience for me

Stated from the MS-1, then got the MS-2 in 2 weeks time. After spending a year time with the MS-2, upgraded to the MS-Pro

Tried the SR80, 125, 225 and RS-1, love the Grado sound signature except the more upfront sound, and there you go Alessandro

I don't know why but the PS-1 has really taken ahold of me lately. Frankly, the much loved 650/zu combo hasn't really been seeing much time and the rs-1s are in much the same boat. I think I smell a headphone sale coming on.

I guess it depends on how deep the woodies are. As for price - I traded my Senn 650's for the Headphile HF-1's. I didn't use my 650's all that much simply because I prefer the 600's.

I would say that they are definately better than stock. The bass is a tad deeper and tighter. They sound damn close to my RS-1's. I have never heard RS-2's so I wouldn't know how they compare. Some feel the Headphile HF-1's can even smoke the RS-1's. I don't however. This may be due to the depth of my woodies but I will say that they are heads above the SR line. I think they should be in the same league as the RS-2's and RS-1's.

I'm currently at the 225 rung of the ladder and pretty comfortable with them for the time being. My next headphone will probably not be a Grado though.

Just received my SR-225s today (ordered from Todd)! These are the first Grados I have ever heard, and I like them a lot so far. Will probably overtake the HD595s, but I don't want to speak too soon, which is what I did with the KSC-35s. I will say that the SR-225s beat the crap out of the KSC-35s.
