Are these amps the ones you are considering or the ones you clearly believe to be the best? GS-1000's love SETs, EAR HP4 is the best I've heard thus far...Cary should be awesome...maybe a top tier Single Power PP.

I think I wasn't clear in my question. You list 4 amps. I'm wondering if these are the only amps you think should be on such a list (because that is the poll) or whether you are looking for the overall best amp for the GS-1000. My opinoin would be none of the above, but if you are specifically asking...of these which one? Then I couldn't really answer as I've only heard the first two on the list.

I heard the GS1000 through a WooAudio 6 (not sure if it was the maxxed version) at CanJam and I was impressed.

I still don't think they're the headphones for me but they seemed to synergize best with the Woo 6 over the other amps I heard them with.

I tried the GS1000 extensively with the Raptor, even with a variety of tube options, and was never able to make them sound anything but horrific.
I would not recommend the Raptor with them. My friends are still mad at me for making them endure the agony of listening to those headphones.

Stay away from RSA Stealth.
I read a lot of good things about WooAudio amps and I own Zana, so take a guess

I had an opportunity to listen to Woo Audio 5 with a few headphones including GS1000. All headphones - AKG1000, AKG701, Senn 600, GS1000 all of them sounded their best through Woo Audio 5. GS1000 did not sit well with me - I thought they were too non-linear - had too many peaks and dips (for my taste) - so I sold GS1000 but for whatever it is worth - GS1000 sounded better than ever through WA5. As I understand, WA6 - provides a nice slice of WA5 performance. Maxed out WA6 sounds like a good amp for any headphone.

For me, AKG701 amd AKG1000 were, by far, the best sounding cans through WA5

Cheers

Peaks and dips for sure. The GS1000s have a very eclectic way of producing sound.

I wish I had seen this graph prior to purchasing them. I would have promptly avoided that purchase.
