Used my new 325is for some hirez (24/176khz) digital recording of a classical ensemble live to 2 track. I find Grados are perfect for string ensembles. The group is the Atlanta Chamber Players, with several members from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

Extremely.
Very cool to the OP - you might wanna link this into the Grado Fan Club thread, I'm sure most of the guys in there would get a kick out of this.

Yes, I think you're thinking bitrate, not sampling rate.

176khz is higher than most audio on Blu-ray and DVD-Audio. But 176kbps audio is pretty dinky. There's a big difference, and I'm guessing TwoTrack's audio output was probably in the megabit range or higher.

Yeah I knew that. I don't know why I thought that lol. And that is a pretty freaking huge file... something like 400 Megabits. Gawd lol.

Hi friends,
24/176 is a DVD-Audio equivalent sampling rate. The advantage over 24/96 and 16/44 is the ability to capture the full tone of a violin. And for commercial purposes to allow hirez downloads.
