I am seeking advice for a move from my old trusty Sennheiser PX100 to something that sounds similar--or perhaps better--for under $75. I want something for my commute that is compact and easy to stow. I am considering the following hps at this time:

 1. Beyerdynamic DTX 501P

 2. Beyerdynamic DT 235
 3. Sennheiser PX100-II
 4. Soundmagic P30

Thank you very much for the recommendation. Very nice sound, especially for the price. They aren't up to where the PX100s are, well not yet anyway. They are similarly dark and are lacking the slam of the Senns, however I do not hear The Veil. Most importantly for me is that the highs aren't fatiguing. The sub bass is unreal. I'm definitely looking forward to hearing how these settle down.

Apparently the burn in is pretty long on these with the carbon nanotube drivers.

All i can say is they pack a bunch of value at $26. I can tell you one thing, they're built a heck of a lot tougher than my px100s were.
