Good (low cost) home theater speakers?

These are closest to what I am looking for so far. The level 2 looks good... The company looks good too, I like buying direct.

The speaker quality also looks pretty good, 1" MDF with hardwood veneer with that price? Excellent.

Ok, another thing I want to ask about is amplification. The reason I don't want to get a receiver is because I want to be able to scale my system. So what's out there for good DIY amps (preferably mono so I can do 5 channels) that will work with this system (preferably 75 to 100 watts per channel).

I can drive the level 3 bookshelf speakers to reasonable levels with a 36v 5a balanced m3. Given that, there are lots of options that could power these, including gainclones.
