I'm looking for a new pair of headphones and I want them to be good for any genre. I listen to mostly electronic, but many other times I will listen to something more calm like Sigur Ros or Coldplay. I also want to have a lot of passive isolation. Something like wearing an aviation headset, if that is possible. Here's a few links to the music I would normally listen to:

Electronic:

Also, I already looked at the M50s and people seem to be saying that they were a really good deal a while ago, but now there are better headphones for the price. Feel free to say the M50s if you truly believe they are the best choice though.

The m50's are not bad. I owned them but I wasn't crazy about the sound signature or the clamp. They are built like a tank and they isolate well. The Beyer dt770 is also built with quality and has a better sound signature imo.

Oh, and the isolation is very good.

gL!!
