I want to buy a good set of closed backs headphones because I've only good one open backs and it's problem when people is close to me watching TV and such. I have OB, EDXS, Hifiman HE-560 , Senn HD 600, Grado 325X . Budget 500 MAX , I would like headphones, neutral but with good bass (let's say EDXS but closed back), I wonder if Focal Elegia is a viable option, or if you can tell me what I could get for the price.

The Elegia has a treble rolloff, but the fit and finish are amazing. The AKG K371 are good, we have a pair and Harman curve doesn't need eq. A pair of IEMs might be fun for a change. The Simgot EA500, Moondrop Starfield, or Truthear Zero Blue (red one is best for gaming) you can't go wrong for the price. The Beyerdynamic DT700 I have is very similar to the Elegia, good for treble sensitive. The DT17XX is also fun, 32 ohm and easy to drive, just not as resolving as the DT700.

What's so bad with elegia treble? I have AKG K371, they are good ones but not as good as I would like to get

There is currently a ridiculously cheap closed back called the Sundara closed back from HiFiman. It is $149.00 on their web site. It is SO cheap that I am considering picking up a pair just for giggles. I had been looking at the HE-R10D's for $409.00. And they are even cheaper without the wireless option. They came out at $1,299.00 or $1,399.00 and I had no interest in that.
But at $409.00, it falls into "Tell me more about your product" territory.

And the Sundara CB's are just crazy cheap.

I picked up the Sundara closed at Audio 46 when I was in NYC. I listened to about a dozen closed backs and they had the 2nd best sound of all of them (they were about 95% as good as a headphone that was $1,299. I loved the sound but when I got back to the hotel and was trying them my wife was like wow those really leak are you sure they are closed back. She said the leak was more then double my beloved Shure 1540s. Sadly since I use them in public that would not be good so passed them along to a friend who is in love with them.

If you are in a place that you don't need them to be very quiet they are an amazing headphone with a sound I loved.

The AKG K553 II was my first pair of headphones ever and I can definitely vouch for them. They are pretty cheap too. To me they are like closed-back HD600s - they won't break any records, but they just sound right.

Speaking of closed back HD600s, Sennheiser has been teasing a new model called the HD620S recently which is priced the same as the HD600 and is a closed back. SInce it's a 150 ohm driver it might be using the driver from the 660S, but I think we can at least be confident it's a closed 600 series headphone.

Hard to say whether it'll sound similar or not since something like the HD820 is tuned so differently from the HD800, but I know there's been a good number of people who wished a closed HD600 existed for a while now so it wouldn't surprise me if they try to go for as similar a tuning as possible.

It's not out yet but I imagine since they've been teasing it that we could see it soon.

ETA closed back. Sounds good out of everything - in other words they don’t scale.
